The last time this competition was played was in 2019, the USA, Brazil, and China were the podium clinchers for the Women’s. As for the Men’s tournament, the top three looked like this; Russia, the USA, and Poland respectively. The 2021 competition is now fired up, emerging once again from the results of the hugely successful 2019 competition (which saw Russia beat the USA in Men’s, and the USA beat Brazil in Women’s). In 2018, the Dutch women’s national team had made the Final Six, but dropped to 11th one year later and are confident in continuing their performance in this year’s tournament. Brazil is also looking to push strong in the Women’s competition. As for the Men’s, Bulgaria is looking to rise in the VNL action this time. Overall projections favor the USA, but time will tell.
